Known as The Baby Faced Assassin, The Warmaster, and in Japan The Blue-eyed Kenshiro, Josh Barnett has been a mainstay in the mixed martial arts heavyweight division for a very long time. Having won the Ultimate Fighting Championship heavyweight belt, as well as having fought in Pancrase, Pride and every other major promotion, Barnett is the kind of veteran fighter who has seen it all and experienced it all.
Unfortunately for Josh Barnett, one of those experiences (if his claims are to be taken seriously, which they likely should not) involved fighting through an injury that is rarely spoken of in combat sports, or anywhere else for that matter: A bent penis.
When asked about the worst injury he’s had to fight through, the quick witted Barnett immediately answered, bent penis. It was the worst injury, but it did give me a new creative angle on life.
Either realizing that he let his tongue in cheek professional wrestling antics flow too freely in a serious interview about his mixed martial arts career, or perhaps simply because reliving the terrifying genital injury was too painful, The Baby Faced Assassin quickly shifts gears.
Worst injury I’ve gone into a fight with? I had a torn rotator cuff, and uh, I had stressed out rotator cuffs, I don’t know how bad they were, and a torn labrum. I went in there and fought Crocop and my arm came out. There ya go. I’ve been in the ring with plenty of injuries.
