The corner men are one of the most crucial elements of a fighter’s success in mixed martial arts.

With only a very short break with their fighter between rounds, the corner is responsible for tending to any cuts, giving tactical advice, feeding their fighter water, lancing swollen areas, icing sore muscles and most importantly looking out for the safety of their athlete which can sometimes result in them putting an end to the contest for the fighters health and wellbeing.

So given the many tasks at hand, the single minute is often one of the busiest portions of the fight, and sometimes can result in pure chaos.

At UFC 109 this certainly was the case in the corner of Rony Torres, after getting his particulars in order his corner removed an ice bag off his back only for it to tear open and spill all over the octagon.

With the bout about to start Joe Rogan called out this tomfoolery on the telecast, with members of the commission rushing in to contain the problem.

That’s a lot of ice, this is a disaster

Together the commission and Torres corner began sweeping the ice away, but then end up knocking the bucket over they were putting the ice in.

This is the f*** three stooges, what are you freaks doin? commentating on the great ice spill.

Finally working together as a team they sweep all the ice through the cage onto the walkway used by the ring girls between rounds. That’s good, put it on the side and watch Arianny fall on her head Joe says sarcastically.

Rogan continues to point out more pieces of ice prompting more members of the commission to get back in the cage.
