Following up the previous installments of Joe Rogan techniques, we next look at Joe teaching the intricacies of the roundhouse kick. One of most famous martial arts techniques of all time, variations of it are found in various martial arts such as Taekwondo, Karate, Muay Thai and Wushu.

In the following video Joe goes through preferred technique as well as defensive variations.

This is a staple in martial arts, it’s as important as a jab is in boxing. A round kick is one of the most important techniques. It’s not just a technique of power, it’s a timing technique and of co-ordination. He explains to guest student Aubrey Marcus.

And it’s a technique that requires your whole body to move as one unit and it’s one of the reasons why kettlebell training and functional strength training benefits this technique so much.
