The Ultimate Fighting Championship’s women’s strawweight champion, Joanna Jędrzejczyk, recently began stealing the hearts of mixed martial arts fans worldwide with her intense, frenetic fighting style and high volume attack.
Having won the UFC Strawweight title with an emphatic and bloody TKO victory over Ultimate Fighter Season 20 winner Carla Esparza in March, 2015, Joanna Champion has since followed up her title win with a pair of dominant wins over contenders Jessica Penne in June and Valerie Letourneau in November of the same year.
While the details and particulars of the UFC deal with Reebok are still sending shockwaves of controversy through the mixed martial arts community, Jędrzejczyk has been fortunate enough to have recently signed a sponsorship deal with major worldwide mobile communications giant, Samsung.
Although Jędrzejczyk and her fellow UFC fighters are no longer allowed to enter the octagon wearing anything but their own custom UFC fight kits, there are no rules preventing her or anyone else from filming and releasing a commercial for a company like Samsung, who does not conduct business that would be in conflict with an athletic apparel company such as Reebok.
In the recently released commercial (which is currently only airing on Polish television airwaves), the queen of the strawweight division coldly states, reaching your goal and making your dreams come true is not the end. It’s just the beginning.
True words indeed, as Jędrzejczyk is scheduled to rematch Brazilian fighter Claudia Gadelha in Las Vegas on July 8th.
