If you didn’t know that Israel Adesanya kicks really hard, you will after watching him break one of the most durable devices in arcade game history.

Adesanya has branded apparel sold at Culture Kings stores and website, so during what one would assume was a promotional visit at one of the company’s brick-and-mortar stores, the reigning UFC middleweight champion decided to put on a little show for the hordes of fans in attendance.

Inside the building was a piece of equipment familiar to anyone that has visited an arcade or carnival in the last 20 years. That being the classic Dragon Punch arcade game. Where a player is given one chance to show their punching might and rack up a high score that can never be topped.

Many fighters over the last couple of decades have been filmed partaking in the game — or similar versions — and showing off the skills that can put grown men to sleep. In this instance, “The Last Stylebender” tried something a little different and decided to display the kicking game that made him a Glory Kickboxing star in his previous combat sports life.

In the New Zealander’s first attempt he scored a strong total of 9438. However, in his second attempt, a score check was unnecessary, because the 21-1 fighter delivered a high kick that was so hard it broke the bag. Leaving it dangling and useless for anyone else.

Those that have played the game, they know how durable it is. Skilled power punchers like Conor McGregor and Francis Ngannou have been recorded laying into various versions of the same game without breaking it. It just goes to show that kicks are far harder than punches, and Adesanya delivers his at an elite level.

The UFC middleweight king will next compete in the main event UFC 271 in Feb. when he looks to defend his throne for a fourth straight time against former champion Robert Whittaker.
