A lot of big fights don’t live up to the hype. The UFC 202 however was NOT one of those fights. Conor McGregor’s rematch with Nate Diaz was one of the most anticipated fights of the year and the fight was an incredible back and forth affair that lived up to every fan’s hope.
The two fighters battled for five hard rounds with both having moments where it looked the fight could over. But each man showed heart and grit, and the fight went to the last bell.
When it was all over, one judge saw the fight a draw, and the two others 3 rounds to 2 in favor of Conor McGregor. The fight was applauded across the media and from fans on social media. It was awarded ‘Fight of the Night’ by the UFC and each athlete was awarded an additional $50,000 on top of their individual fight purses.
