Barboza, 35, a long-time lightweight came up short in his featherweight debut against Dan Ige in May of 2020. However, since then the ninth ranked 145-pounder has won two straight. With his most recent outing being in a spectacular knockout of fourteenth ranked talent Shane Burgos. The victory was equal parts impressive and scary, as Burgos had a delayed reaction after being hurt by the Brazilian early in the third round.

Chikadze, 32, is one of the hottest fighters and top prospects in the division. The former Glory Kickboxing star failed in his original bid to earn a UFC contract when he was submitted by Austin Springer on episode two of the second season of Dana White’s Contender Series. However, he has won eight straight since that setback. Six of those victories have come inside the Octagon. And in “Ninja’s” most recent appearance, he added featherweight great Cub Swanson to his hit list when he stopped the 37-year-old with a body kick and punches in the first round of their May booking. Chikadze currently sits in the tenth spot in the division’s rankings.
