Mark Hunt is next scheduled to fight Brock Lesnar at UFC 200, so it’s a good time to remind fans of just how hard this New Zealand heavyweight can hit. In the main event of UFC Fight Night 85, Hunt took on former heavyweight champion Frank Mir and landed a huge punch for a ‘walk-off’ knockout:

Play-By-Play

Round 1 – Touch of gloves to start. Hunt with an early low kick. Mir pulls back on a jab and a kick. Hunt just misses a huge uppercut as Mir shoots. Hunt pushes him away. Mir circling right, changing levels with his head position. Hunt kicks the lead leg. Mir lands a jab. Hunt patient in the center. Hunt blocks a high kick. Hunt throws a right that Mir avoids. Mir slips another big right. Mir tries to grab a clinch, but Hunt pulls away. Hunt patient as he holds the center. Big shot lands – a right to the ear – and Mir is down. Hunt walks off. Mir doesn’t seem to like call, but this fight is over.

Result: Mark Hunt def. Frank Mir via knockout (punch) – Round 1, 3:01
