What do fans love more than a hard-hitting, knockout artist? If there is something, let me know, because I can’t think of anything.
Since they seem to be the favorite, why not break down and take a look at five of the hardest hitters to ever compete in the UFC’s octagon? You might be wondering how we have it broken down to just a top five with the hundreds, if not thousands of athletes that have competed in the UFC. Well, take a look at the top list below and I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the names you find.
If you aren’t, what names do you think should have been on the list that were not? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
5) Robbie Lawler
There is a reason that Robbie Lawler has the nickname of Ruthless. Since re-joining the UFC back in 2013, he has looked nothing short of an absolute destroyer. He even shocked the world by capturing the welterweight title, which he still holds to this day. If that wasn’t enough evidence of the weight in his hands, he holds twenty-seven victories in his career and twenty of them come by the way of TKO.

4) Mark Hunt
Mark Hunt is a man of few words and even fewer punches, but only because he needs to throw one to finish you. He has become the master of the walkaway KO (landing six within the UFC alone) because his power is so destructive that once you go down from one of his blows, you stay down.

3) Anthony Johnson
There are plenty of scary men on this list, but even those who arguably hit harder than him cannot hold a stick to Johnson. His presence inside of the cage is nothing short of terrifying. Every single strike that he throws at you has an incredibly high potential to knock you out and good luck trying to take him down. He has fought from welterweight, all the way to heavyweight, but currently competes in the UFC’s light-heavyweight division. He is expected to face the winner of Jon Jones vs. Daniel Cormier II for a chance at the title.

2) Chuck Liddell
Does anything even need to be said about The Iceman? He is the single most iconic fighter in the company’s history. His signature mohawk paired with his devastating looping overhand right was enough to make him the first genuine star of the UFC. He has been retired for years and to this day still might be the recognizable face in the history of the sport, with good reason.

1) Dan Henderson
With Hendo it isn’t only about his power, but also who he has used it on. Wanderlei Silva, Fedor Emelianenko, and Mauricio Rua are just three of the legendary fighters that have been put to sleep by the heavy handed American. The forty-five year old will look to pick up another win in the UFC against Hector Lombard at UFC 199, making him the oldest active fighter currently on the roster.
