Thus far we have looked at fan tattoos of or inspired by a variety of fighters, including:

Ronda Rousey
Conor McGregor
Fedor Emelianeko
Kimbo Slice
Chuck Liddell
Jon Jones

This is The Rest …

This guy’s Anderson Silva tattoos earned him 35th. 35th in what, we are not sure.

Silva is the greatest fighter in UFC history. This fight was the most important in the league’s history.

Jacare

Cain Velasquez
Nate Marquardt
Nate Diaz’ amazingly great submission of Takanori Gomi.

 And Chris Leben.

Sakuraba
Forrest Griffin

Here is a unique one! Johnathan Ivey is a pioneering fighter, and leg lock monster, who was so taken by fellow leg lock monster Rousimar Palhares, he got it on his leg.

But it not just UFC fighters that inspire ink. These guys have Bruce Buffer Tattoos.

Remember what we said about Russian ink? This work by Den Yakovlev is what we mean.

In the meantime, back to Ronda Rousey…

Bruce Buffer, the veteran voice of the Octagon, is one the figures in the UFC of longest standing, far longer for example that president Dana White. Buffer’s brother Michael is the best known announcer in boxing. So the sound of combat sports may be a fist hitting a face, but the voice of combat sports is that of two brothers.

“Let’s get ready to ruuuuumble” graces boxing, as “It’s tiiiiiiiime” jolts MMA to the edge of its seat.

“if Michael Buffer is a fine bottle of Bordeaux, then Bruce Buffer is a shot of Jack Daniels,” aptly wrote journalist and BJJ black belt Frank Curreri.

Unusually, the brothers did not know they were related until they were well into adulthood. Jeff Wagenheim from SI explains.

it wasn’t until Bruce was 30 and Michael in his 40s that they learned they were half-brothers, both offspring of the father who raised Bruce and whom Michael did not know. The family reunion came about because Bruce, a lifelong boxing fan whose grandfather — and Michael’s, too — was the bantamweight world champion Johnny Buff, got to wondering about the man with his last name who was introducing the fights he liked to watch on TV.
