Jon Jones is quite possibly the greatest fighter in mixed martial arts history. He was disqualified once in a match he was moments from winning, via an archaic rule, but he has never been beaten. His ability is such that this fan got a highly detailed portrait.
Given Jones’ troubles last year, hopefully the fan has no regerts.
Jones also has Phillipians 4:13 (I can do all this through him who gives me strength) tattooed prominently on his chest.
This fan took fighter tattoos in a whole new direction. He got the same tattoo as Jon Jones.
God bless him!
This man now joins a select group that have copied a prominent fighter’s distinctive ink.
Next … GSP.

Georges St-Pierre is on of the most popular fighters in the history of mixed martial arts, and the best welterweight in UFC history, at the least.
GSP has a kanji tattoo on his chest, so this fan got one too.
And this fan got a tattoo of GSP himself.
‘Rush looks like he was not impressed.
Next …
Paulo Filho has Mike Tyson’s face tattoo.
Wanderlei Silva had a legendary career in PRIDE FC, before every coming to the UFC. Although he had not fought since running from a Nevada State Athletic Commission, he was released by the UFC, and will in all likelihood fight again.
Wand got a tribal tattoo on the back of his head, so this fan did too.
… Roger Huerta.
And this guy, he got a tattoo of Wanderlei’s tattoo of himself.
Sometimes fighters gets tattoos of other fighters, too.
This guy got GSP’s tattoo.

While heavy tattooing (and a shaved head) are closely associated with modern mixed martial arts in the eyes of many, it is an ancient practice.
Tattooing has been practiced across the Earth since at least the stone age. Both ancient art and archaeological finds of possible tattoo tools suggest tattooing was practiced by the Upper Paleolithic period (beginning abotu 40,000 years ago) in Europe. However, the oldest discovery of tattooed human skin to date is found on the body of Ötzi the Iceman, dating to between 3370 and 3100 BC. Other tattooed mummies have been recovered from at least 49 archaeological sites including locations in Greenland, Alaska, Siberia, Mongolia, western China, Egypt, Sudan, the Philippines, and the Andes.
