The shocking co-main event and main event at UFC 196 both featured rather sizable upsets. Fans and fighters alike were both shocked and exhilarated by the results.

Some of the fighters were captured giving their candid reactions following Nate Diaz’s stunning upset victory over Conor McGregor.

In usual form, the seemingly irritated brother of Nate, Nick Diaz, weighed in on the event before sending off the camera crew:

2 rounds. That’s what I said, 2 rounds […] No, shut her down, shut her down.

While it may be difficult to interpret the intonation of such a unique individual, we are only left to assume that this is the happiest Nick has ever been.

A jubilant Diego Sanchez, who also won his fight that night, seemed more than pleased with the outcome of the fight. When considering recent interviews, he does not appear to have the most favorable opinion of McGregor, which may play a role in his recent remarks:

That’s what’s up! Nate Diaz baby! Yeah! BJJ right there! What?! Stockton Slap and all! Yes! Yes!

UFC legend, Chuck Liddell, took a more analytical approach as he broke down the outcome of the fight based on his previous predictions:

I said before the fight, I thought that Diaz could catch him in a guillotine if he would shoot, but there’s no way Conor would shoot. Well, I guess he just caught him with a couple punches and Conor decided to shoot.

The videos caps off with Brazilian UFC Heavyweight Champion, Fabricio Werdum, calling McGregor a prostitute in his native tongue. Yes, a prostitute. He also spoke about respecting other fighters.

One thing is certain, UFC 196 and the events that transpired that night will be hot on the tongues of everyone who follows the sport until the next big event. We can’t wait to see what happens next.
