After all the hype and all trash talk, the trilogy fight between UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz and longtime rival Urijah Faber turned out be what most expected.
Cruz used his patented stick-and-move elusiveness to frustrate the flat-footed Faber in the co-main event of UFC 199 on Saturday night, dancing his way to a unanimous decision win at the Forum. The judges’ scores were 50-45, 50-45, and 49-46 in favor of the champion.

About Urijah Faber
Thoughts on opponent, Dominick Cruz? I feel like Dominic hasn’t missed a step in bouncing back from his injury, which is pretty impressive. He is still very similar to when I fought him back in 2011. He still has awkward movements, has a high output and has strategic takedowns. I’m looking forward to taking the W on June 4th.
TRAINING: I have at least two practices a day, varying between MMA-specific or discipline-specific sessions. We have a team practice every morning and I typically have individual practices in the afternoon.
When and why did you start training for fighting? I’ve always had a passion for fighting. I started wrestling in the 8th grade and have never stopped. I began training in MMA in 2003 after graduating from UC Davis.
