UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier is not impressed with interim champion Jon Jones. A stringer for TMZ Sports caught up with DC and asked if there were any insults he cast Bones’ way that were particularly memorable
“I call him a bum,” explained DC. “He does not like that. Because he feels he’s the greatest fighter of all time, and for me to call him that, it goes against everything that he believes.
“So I’m calling him a bum again. He is a bum. After that last fight he doesn’t deserve to be called the greatest of all time anymore. … He looked terrible. he looked terrible in his last fight.”
Cormier also talked about Brock Lesnar vs. Mark Hunt, and made a prediction that few would disagree with.
“If [Lesnar] can get the fight to the ground, he’s got a chance,” said Cormier. “If he gets hit by Mark Hunt, he’s probably going to sleep.”
The fight DC is referencing is of course Jones vs. Ovince Saint Preux, which failed to excite at UFC 197 on April 23, 2016 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Cormier and Jones fight in the main event of UFC 200 on July 9, 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Lesnar vs. Hunt will be the co-main. This card is so insanely stacked that Joe Lauzon vs. Diego Sanchez is only the second fight on the card, and is on the UFC Fight Pass prelims.
That’s insane.
