Check out this behind the scenes video from ‘TheMacLife productions’ of Conor McGregor sparring and training in preparation of his UFC 202 rematch bout against Nate Diaz.
The sparring begins twenty seconds in and it looks like Conor is back to form. You see him land a good one, two punch combination right off the bat on his sparring partner. He also lands a solid uppercut with that powerful left hand of his. You also see him land that left teep kick to his opponents body, a technique he used in his interim title fight with Chad Mendes. He digs it into his opponent’s midsection and uses it to wear his opponent down along with maintaining distance.

He also displays good takedown defense but I doubt he has to worry about that with Diaz but you never know. It’s always good to prepare for any and all eventualities. He lands that heavy left hand of his over and over towards the end of the sparring footage, his most devastating weapon. He used it to bust up Diaz’s face the first round of their first bout, clearly winning the first round.
He got careless though and maybe a little tired and in the second round he ate a big one, two from Diaz which was the beginning of the end for him. Diaz is a bad match up for Conor style-wise. He is a really good boxer as well as being much longer with a high level ground game to go along with it. Not to mention a hell of a chin and cardio for days. Based on this footage though it looks like Conor is taking this rematch very seriously and it should be a hell of a fight.
The rematch takes place at UFC 202 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Saturday August 20, 2016.
