Conor McGregor wants to set the UFC ablaze and then walk away from the sport— or so he claimed in yet another raucous interview with SevereMMA:
“I’m coming for that belt, I’m coming for the next belt, I’m coming for the whole company. How many years have you heard about super-fights, this and that, and then nothing? How many times have you heard about little sore toe and an opponent bolts? There are p*****s everywhere in this game.

I’m here to fight, I’m here to win every belt. I’m afraid of no one. I’ll go up and fight any weight. Anyone can come down and step in that cage with me or any cage and see how they fare but nobody fares well that’s for sure. Why not go up? They get slower and they get less free up there, I feel. They’re stiffer, even more stuck than the Lightweight division. I’ll keep going, I’ll keep eating, keep training and keep going until f–king all the belts are wrapped up.
While it’s difficult not to admire McGregor’s intestinal fortitude, the idea of a UFC takeover may seem far-fetched to skeptics. Holding UFC titles in several weight classes was previously unheard of— much less all of them!

The UFC is certainly happy about McGregor’s success— the blossoming relationship has translated into gate and pay-per-view records, not to mention piles of cash for both parties. McGregor had no problem squashing rumors that there is bad blood brewing between he and the UFC:
“It’s all horse s***, that is. I have a great relationship with Lorenzo and a great relationship with Dana. Don’t get me wrong, I’m climbing that corporate ladder every day and we will be neck and neck. Maybe somewhere along the line, I will take that lion’s share. But we will always be together. Loyalty is what I have. They gave me this. They are helping me with this and I am helping them. We are a team.”
