Conor McGregor is a virtuoso at verbal warfare.

After the UFC announced that Nate Diaz would fight Conor McGregor instead of injured champ Rafael dos Anjos, a much-anticipated press conference featuring the American and the Irishman took place in Torrance, California.

So what happens when you give a mic to two of the best trash-talkers in the sport and ask them to go at it?

Chaos.

That is what went down at the press conference. McGregor and Diaz engaged in a slurs-filled verbal battle that left fans around the world even more thrilled than they already were for the upcoming bout.

Out of all the (sometimes crazy) things Diaz said to McGregor one stood above the rest though. In fact, the American accused the Irishman of using steroids. Watch McGregor’s response:

In this interview shot right after the end of the press conference, McGregor immediately strongly dismisses his foe’s claims, calling them absolutely ridiculous and reminding everyone that he was the most tested fighter of the UFC roster in 2015.

He then touches on various subjects, including dos Anjos’s injury, stating that he would have never pulled off a fight over a ‘bruised’ foot.

Last but not least, the Irishman finally gives his prediction about the way he thinks his fight against Diaz will unfold. These predictions of his are a big part of his persona, and fans, who have nicknamed him ‘Mystic Mac’, absolutely love them.

McGregor starts by analyzing Diaz’s fighting style, and he believes the American is too predictable. As for how he thinks he will beat him? My left uppercut will pin him clean.

‘Mystic Mac’ then goes on by stating that Diaz’s body will be ripped to shreds. The interviewer follows up by a question about how the fact that the fight is being held at Welterweight will affect McGregor.

His answer? In true warfare weight is not an issue.

That is true, and a seriously badass thing to say. McGregor and Diaz have not even entered the Octagon yet, but the Irishman is already winning the psychological warfare.
