Chuck Liddell is one of the most important fighters in the history of the UFC. Under the toutelage of world class trainer Jon Hackleman of ‘The Pit’ fight team, Liddell became the biggest MMA star in the world after capturing the light heavyweight title from Randy Couture in 2005 with a first round knockout. Liddell would successfully defend his title four times with four more knockouts. During his reign as champion, Liddell crossed over into the mainstream and with him, the UFC itself. His two fights with Randy Couture and Tito Ortiz are considered some of the most important fights in UFC history in bringing more fans into the sport.
Liddell also made appearances playing himself in several television shows and movies including Hawaii Five-O, Kick-Ass 2, Bones, and more. After retiring in 2010, he was also named an executive vice-president of business development for the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Charles David “Chuck” Liddell (born December 17, 1969) is a retired American mixed martial artist and former Ultimate Fighting Championship Light Heavyweight Champion. Liddell has an extensive striking background in Kempo, Koei-Kan karate and kickboxing, as well as a grappling background in collegiate wrestling and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Liddell holds the record with the most knockouts in UFC history at thirteen. Liddell had 23 fights in the UFC, and along with Randy Couture, is widely credited for bringing mixed martial arts into the mainstream of American sports and entertainment. On July 10, 2009, he was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame.
