On the main card of UFC Fight Night 82, welterweight Chris Camozzi came out of his corner on fire and blasted Joe Riggs out of the fight in only twenty-six seconds:

The middleweight bout was part of the main card of today’s UFC Fight Night 83 event at CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh. It aired on FOX Sports 1 following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.

The official end came just 26 seconds into the opening frame, giving Camozzi back-to-back wins in the octagon since a short-notice submission loss kicked off his second UFC stint. Riggs, no stranger to short and/or bizzare endings in the promotion, drops to 1-3 in his second tenure.

The force of Camozzi’s knees reportedly broke Riggs’ forearm, UFC commentators announced after the bout.

More about Chris Camozzi

TRAINING: I usually train three times a day. Training consists of Muay Thai, BJJ, judo and wrestling, depending on the day and time. Between those training sessions, I do strength and conditioning at Landow Performance or I do roadwork.

When and why did you start training for fighting? I started training at Gumm MMA in the summer of 2005. I had just finished up playing Rugby at Fort Lewis College and I needed something to keep me busy. I wrestled in high school and thought I would give grappling a try. I found out Gumm MMA also offered kickboxing, and as a kid I always wanted to try boxing and since MMA is the modern day boxing I went that route. I started training kickboxing and BJJ with Brad Gumm and never left. I was hooked on it immediately.

When and why did you start training for fighting? I have been fighting since I was seven years old; I feel I was born to fight.
