Since time immemorial, long, long before the Ultimate Fighting Championship held their debut event in Denver, Colorado, a simple idea was asked – who would win in a fight?

It’s the question children ask each other on school playgrounds the world over. Whether they’re comparing the imaginary fighting abilities of their respective fathers, or discussing whether Batman would stand a chance against Spider-man, that’s what it all boils down to. Even well into adulthood, when viewing a duo we perceive to have incredible abilities, there’s just something natural about wondering who would come out on top if there were a real deal fight between the two.

In this video, UFC head honcho, Dana White (Full disclosure: he is a Boston native and unabashed fan of the New England Patriots), discusses how he feels several hypothetical fights between well-known super athletes would go down if they actually happened in the UFC’s Octagon, including a fictitious scrap between the National Football League’s designated super villain, Tom Brady, and one of the stars of this weekend’s highly anticipated Super Bowl 50, Carolina Panther’s quarterback Cam Newton.

Cam Newton is a huge favorite! Expected to come in and destroy Tom Brady. He’s got the size, the speed, he’s an incredible athlete. But Tom Brady is the king of the clutch. He’s the guy, when you think the game can’t be won, you think the fight can’t be won, he pulls something out and he wins it. Tom Brady by triangle!
