In the main event of UFC 199 Michael Bisping knocked out Luke Rockhold in the first round, shocking fans and media around the world.

Bisping took the fight on two weeks notice when Chris Weidman was forced to withdraw due to an injury. Bisping has been fighting in the Octagon for a decade and this was his twenty-sixth fight, but first title shot.

Bisping and Rockhold had a competitive first round until Bisping landed a huge left hand that knocked the champion down. Bisping jumped on the opportunity and landed a couple follow-up punches that left the champion out cold and Twitter in shock:
