While most of enjoy the UFC for it’s thrilling in cage action, there are also hoards of fans who enjoy the banter and drama between fighters outside of the cage pre and post fight.

From Tito Ortiz flipping the bird to Ken Shamrock after his victory over Guy Mezger at UFC 19 all the way to Conor McGregor relentlessly taunting and prodding Jose Aldo ahead of their title unification bout at UFC 194 which resulted in a 13 knock out win for McGregor, insults and trash talk have become somewhat routine in the biggest stage of mixed martial arts and hav even helped turn careers around.

One great example is Chael Sonnen was at one point was best known for screaming directly into the camera as Renato ‘Babalu’ Sobral twisted and torqued his leg at UFC 55.

Almost a decade later in his second UFC stint Chael would find himself on an impressive winning streak but what really got the attention of the fans, media and then middleweight kingpin Anderson Silva was his relentless and often ridiculous trash talk, which helped make Sonnen a household name and opened more opportunities for his career.
