Mike Perry found fame for fighting, but not in a good way, after an altercation early in June at Table 82 restaurant in Lubbock, Texas. There was reportedly a physical altercation with one individual, whose girlfriend then stepped in and according to Perry began “clawing” at him. Then Perry says a second individual made contact with his shoulder, and got pushed back in the face. A third individual then apparently grabbed Perry’s face and shirt, got dropped, and reportedly was transported to the hospital.
Police questioned and cited Perry for a misdemeanor assault, but did arrest him. Now Perry has offered a public apology.
I want to be a better role model for my family. For my unborn son. My Queen @latory_g and for myself so I can earn the respect I deserve. To my sponsors and my bosses at @ufc I want to apologize for how my actions have impacted our relationships. I will be better all around #Oss

The UFC said in a statement that Perry will not be booked until he undergoes a treatment program for alcohol abuse.
