Footage from South Africa shows a group clad in MMA apparel beating a man they identify as a child rapist. The video emerged late last year with the attacker’s faces obscured.

It began as a man, dressed in a collared shirt and business trousers, was sitting outdoors at the Europa café in the Norwood district of Johannesburg, South Africa.

Suddenly the man is thrown the ground, with two men standing over him. One kicks him twice, and the man leaps up and flees down the street at full sprint, with the two in hot pursuit.

The man in Throwdown steps back and executes some distinctive footwork. Suddenly the older man, wearing TapouT, comes barreling in and begins to yell at the man cowering on the ground, alternating words with kicks.

“You raped my daughter,” he screams, between kicks.

As the man attempts to rise, both of the attackers drive him down, and the younger delivers an extended beating, encouraged by an older man, partly off camera, who can be heard shouting directions to kick, punch, and uppercut, all with a distinctive Afrikaans accent.

The harrowing attack continues for some time, with the younger man, identified as Kallie, a common Afrikaner name, landing a succession of stomps, low kicks, knees, hooks, and straight punches.

The beaten man utters two words.

“Have mercy,” he says faintly.

The man in TapouT can be seen returning, bringing the number of MMA devotees involved in the vigilante action to at least five.

As the man slowly sinks to the ground, a voice can be heard repeating over and over “Do you want to rape young girls, puss?” as the video fades to black.

Police investigated but were unable to positive identify the individuals in question.
