Few things tend to excite more anger, resentment, and emotion than domestic violence. One of those things is acts of terrorism while another one of those things is a public display of domestic violence, particularly when the aggressor is male.
Terrorism, or terror, can be defined as acts of violence or intimidation used to threaten or coerce which, in my humble opinion, definitely describes domestic violence. In the video below we see this horrendous act as it plays out and although there are no strikes thrown there is no lack of evidence of threatening gestures, forceful movements, and acts of intimidation.

The bystanders, or passersby, can be seen with a look of disbelief on their face before they decide to take immediate and forceful action. They assess the situation, deduce what is occurring, and then immediately take action. This is the way situations of this manner should be handled. There is no time to discuss the matter with your peers or advise each other in a brainstorming session. A woman’s life is in danger in that very moment and immediate action must be taken.
In a show of restraint, the men protecting this woman proceed to render the abuser incapable of causing any more harm. They partake in just enough violence to control the situation, safely remove the woman from harm’s way, and hopefully impart on the aggressor that he has violated a code of human conduct and that type of behavior will not be stood for.
In my opinion, if we collectively all acted in a manner as these gentlemen, the world would be a much safer place and we would be one step closer to the days when our kids could leave the house only to return when the street lights came back on….
