Body language can say a lot about whats happening when the audio isn’t the clearest.

With a few of the bystanders filming, you can see there are two students standing in front of each other in a cafeteria having what appears to be a disagreement as the video starts.

The man in the grey shirt is standing in a relaxed but, proper posture with one foot in front of the other in what would be called an orthodox stance in many martial arts.

The lunchroom bully made the mistake of standing completely square which severely limits power and balance among other things. As the man in grey attempts to diffuse the situation, he puts his backhand into his pocket.

In one of the few audible moments of the clip, you can hear the lunchroom bully asking the man in grey if he has a knife in his pocket. When the man in grey proves he doesn’t the bully continues to press forward.

Anytime the bully tries to push his way forward into the others face he is met by a stiff arm to the chest that he can’t get past.

Not only does this stiff arm allow our grey shirted student to keep his distance, he can effectively feel any movement the other man tries to make by his body tensing up and pressing forward.

If the bully would have attempted to strike with his feet completely square like they were, he would have been pushed back and knocked off balance taking the power out of the punch.

Once the man in grey has had enough of the bully trying to invade his space, his proper stance allows him to throw a series of wild haymakers that disorientate and knock the bully down allowing an easy mount and finish to the fight.

But the fight had been won before the first punch was even thrown by posture and foot placement alone.

Something tells me the bully in black won’t be trying to get into anyone’s face again anytime soon.
