It’s one thing to talk smack to your buddies outside of school, but it’s another entirely to parade around like you’re an unstoppable force of nature when you have very little to substantiate it. The kid in this video learns a quick lesson in humility the hard way.

The video begins with footage of your everyday after-school smack talk session by the bus stop, but the short kid in the blue hooded sweater seems to have a chip on his shoulder and something to prove on this fateful day. Apparently set off by his peers, he begins to go off on a tirade that he will likely later regret.

His catchphrase in this video is one that he repeats several times to all of those who dare oppose him. It implies a challenge of sorts, consists of two words, and comes in the form of a question: ‘What’s up?!’ Otherwise known in slang form simply as, ‘Wassup?!’ or even, ‘Whuuuuuzzzuuup?!’

Regardless of how it’s said, the kid in this video repeats it ad nauseam until a larger boy with a white, long-sleeve shirt comes around to provide him with an answer to his question that he likely wasn’t looking for. After a couple inconsequential exchanges, the larger boy lands a flush right hand that sends his boisterous classmate crashing to the pavement in a dramatic crucifix-style knockout pose— with his hands coiled in front of him and his eyes listless… daydreaming of a better tomorrow. Onlookers jeer with approval as if to say:

‘That’s wassup!’
