This video begins with two young men squaring off on concrete. One is black in a neon orange trimmed tracksuit.
The other is white in blue sweats and a sweater. Spectators are speaking some combination of European languages and seem to be encouraging the fight. It doesn’t look particularly emotional. There are no rage rushes or anything like that, although the white kid definitely seems eager to fight. The one in the track suit makes the first move and charges in limply.
The white one holds the back of his shirt, delivers a couple of blows, and swings him onto the stone stairs.

Then he grabs the black guy’s neck and sits down for a guillotine choke – a bold move considering he obviously has no grappling experience. Both men struggle for a while in the guillotine position until the black man taps and the bystanders step in to break it up.
Then he combatants get up and step away. But suddenly someone says C’est pas fini! Cest pas fini! (It’s not over! It’s not over) and the white guy grabs the guy again and begins teeing off on his head. Now it’s evident this was a pride or ego fight from the beginning. Fortunately, the victim covers up and the spectators step in before too long.
This fight demonstrates one important thing. Although the white guy clearly doesn’t have grappling experience, he probably has seen some MMA or he would have not been as eager to pull guard for the guillotine. It demonstrates just how natural submissions like the guillotine and rear-naked choke are in a fight, and how often they present themselves.

The white guy was able to grab and finish the guillotine while looking like he had never practiced it. As jiu jitsu hits the mainstream, videos like this will likely become more common.
