The following footage took place in in Taipei County, Taiwan. A knife wielding lady dressed in red can be seen yelling at two local police officers, threatening them.

Police officers are well-trained professionals that are supposed to be able to handle any situation.

Still, it’s hard to keep composure when someone is furiously threatening you with a knife; that type of situation requires careful procedure and sharp situational reflexes.

Law enforcement officers sometimes find themselves in situations where they get heavily criticized by the public regarding the way the deal with the population. Thus it’s really important for them to be able to handle dangerous situations without crossing the line.

Now, what do you think these two police officers did to neutralize the knife wielding lady? Pepper spray her? Tased her? Call back-up?

Nope, not quite. It was way more badass than the above possibilities.

The police officer who is standing right in front of the lady approaches her while talking to her… and then, BAM. He throws a nice kick to the lady’s hand which makes the knife fly away. Now dealing with an unarmed foe, he grabs a hold of her arm and drags her to the ground before immobilizing her with an armlock.

It’s amazing how the police officer managed to keep his composure and had self-defense skills accurate enough to be able to disarm the assaulting lady in such badass fashion. Seriously, that looks like something freaking Batman would do!
