The legendary Chuck Norris holds black belts in karate, tang soo do, judo, chun kuk do, taekwondo, judo, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. As a lifelong martial artist who has forgotten more hand-to-hand fighting experiences than most people have even seen, he is heralded by the martial arts community as a master of his craft. Universally respected by his peers, very few men garner quite the level of reverence as the one and only Chuck Norris. Once a peer of the great Bruce Lee, he is known worldwide as a man whose training has prepared him for any situation that may occur in a fight.
One thing is certain, you do not want the great Chuck Norris kicking you in the groin.
While groin strikes may be against the rules of mixed martial arts and every other combat sport, they can be an effective technique on the street, and might even save your life, or at the very least get you out of a dangerous and precarious situation. Along with being one of the most physically painful and structurally damaging places to be hit, it is also the most psychologically damaging and can turn even the most mentally tough fighter into a man who just wants the fight to be over so he can tend to his wounds.
Known in many martial arts circles as the great equalizer, a swift and well-timed strike to the groin can bring even the largest, most skilled and strongest opponent to their knees in a way that few, if any other strikes can. This is evidenced by world-class professional MMA fighters having to stop, despite wearing a cup.
In this clip, from the Chuck Norris Private Lessons series, the fabled star of Delta Force and television mainstay Walker: Texas Ranger demonstrates a variety of striking techniques on lifelong martial artist, kickboxing champion, and Hollywood fight choreographer Benny The Jet Urquidez.
It all begins with the groin kick.
