In any confrontation, in the street or otherwise, there are a few key rules that will at best end the confrontation quickly and decisively and at worst keep you fairly safe. These rules are simple: remain calm, keep moving, and breathe. Basic boxing skills are more than sufficient in most confrontations on the street as most of your average human beings lack any type of training whatsoever.

What we witness here are two gentlemen engaging in a bout of good old fashioned fisticuffs with one participant obviously being trained in the art of boxing. If you pay attention to the footwork of the gentleman in the dark shirt you will notice that it is far superior to that of the other participant and he is also utilizing a very effective tactic: head movement.
It is much harder to engage and make contact with a moving target than it is a stationary one, we all know this and have experienced it in nearly all facets of our lives yet here we see it beautifully displayed, albeit in a violent setting. Hand placement by the gentleman getting the better of the exchanges could definitely be improved but given his unworthy adversary he seems to be getting away with the less than perfect technique in this instance.
His opponent, although he has his hands up and is somewhat protecting his face, seems to be lacking in all areas necessary to succeed in an altercation in the street or otherwise. We see him get dropped, rocked, and even kicked in the face however; he refuses to give up. The one thing that he continually displays is heart which is definitely a key component to success in any altercation however it is simply that…a single component and in this circumstance, not one that fairs too successfully.
