Basketball games turns into MMA fight!
These two guys had a disagreement during a basketball game. One of them is a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, from Minnesota.
The one guy throws a sucker punch at the BJJ fighter and then it’s on!
After the sucker punch was thrown, the BJJ fighter takes his opponents back and starts to set a rear naked choke in, but the bystanders try to break up the fight.
They don’t do such a great job of breaking the fight up, but it was enough to let the other guy escape the choke.
The BJJ fighter immediately follows up with an armbar attack, and then right into a leg lock (inside heel hook).
The YMCA desk lady breaks up the fight by telling them to stop.
Before she did that, though, the BJJ fighter had some scary words for his opponent.
Heel hooks are no joke!

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art, combat sport, and a self defense system that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting.
Brazilian jiu-jitsu was formed from Kodokan Judo ground fighting (newaza) fundamentals that were taught by a number of individuals including Takeo Yano, Mitsuyo Maeda and Soshihiro Satake.
BJJ promotes the concept that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend against a bigger, stronger assailant by using proper technique, leverage, and most notably, taking the fight to the ground, and then applying joint-locks and chokeholds to defeat the opponent.
BJJ training can be used for sport grappling tournaments (gi and no-gi) and mixed martial arts (MMA) competition or self-defense.
Sparring (commonly referred to as “rolling”) and live drilling play a major role in training, and a premium is placed on performance, especially in competition, in relation to progress and ascension through its ranking system.
