Chances are you’ve probably seen dozens of street fights videos. They virtually always unfold in the same way; two gentlemen square off, and the outcome is really messy; sloppy punches, weak kicks, ineffective grappling, hair pulling, you name it. Street fights rarely involve skills.
Notice I said ‘rarely’. Because, yes, sometimes you stumble upon a street fight footage in which both fighters definitely have some serious skills, and I’m not going to lie, it’s a treat to watch. The 2 gentlemen in the following footage took ‘fighting in the street’ to a whole new level.
The man in white shorts throws a hard leg kick that lands. A left hook and another leg kick land. The topless man rushes towards his foe, grabs a hold of his neck, and drops to the floor for a guillotine choke. While being topless. That must hurt a little.
The topless man works hard to secure the guillotine but his opponent pulls out. The former then goes for an arm bar, but the man in white shorts pulls out again and lands a couple of good ground-and-pound shots before the both of them get back up.
The man in white shorts immediately goes for an head and arm lock, also known as one of the most dominant positions in grappling. The topless man struggles but eventually gets out, and now it’s his turn to get his opponent in the same lock! The man in white shorts eventually pulls out, too, and the two starts trading shots.
The topless man AGAIN gets a hold of his opponent’s neck and drop to guard for a guillotine attempt. The other man pulls out again, but he’s on his way to defeat…
In fact, the topless man secures a mounted triangle choke, as well as a rear-naked-choke moments after. He’s landing good shots, his opponent is starting to become more and more stunned. The fight is eventually broken up by bystanders as the topless man is in mounted position, throwing hard shots at his opponent’s face.
All in all, that has to be one of the most skilled street fights ever. Where most street altercations are messy and barely bearable to watch from a technical standpoint, this one definitely surprised me by the level of skills displayed.
