This technique demonstrates how to defend a gun threat to the side of the head. What most martial art or self defense systems miss with gun threats is the pull reflex of the aggressor. The natural human reaction when something of value or importance is being taken from you is to pull away. Same concept applies here. After we redirect the line of fire and use body defense it is important to control the pull reflex. So as the attacker pulls away we trap and control the elbow and follow it back to the attacker’s body. From there we disarm at the the weakest part of the grip and attack. It is important to realize that the gun can and most likely will go off when redirected. But will jam, if grabbed, and will not be able to shoot again until it is un-jammed.

They are meant to give some background info on the concepts of the techniques. Each week we plan on sharing a new video with our audiences around the world and bring more awareness to the system and of course helping people defend themselves and those they love. All techniques shown are for training purposes only and are meant to be done under the watchful eye of an actual certified instructor.
