As if Nate Diaz wasn’t a bad enough badass without weapons, in this video we see the UFC super fight champion Nate Diaz sparring with a traditional Sai weapon. The Sai Knife originated Asia, being found in countries like Indonesia, Thailand, China, Vietnam, Indonesia. A traditional weapon used in several Okinawan traditional martial arts. The basic shape of the Sai is that of a pointed prong shaped metal baton with two curved shaped prongs projecting from the handle.
Nate Diaz who will turn 31 next month, has been a professional mixed martial artist since 2004 making his professional debut in the WEC, before it was purchased by Zuffa. Appearing on the Ultimate Fighter 5, Nate Diaz went on to win the show defeating Manny Gamburyan during the shows finale held in Las Vegas. A Brazilian Jiu Jitsu first degree Black Belt under Cesar Gracie, Nate Diaz is known for his conditioning saying that most days will start with a good run followed by boxing or kickboxing, and in the evenings he will lift weights while working on his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu or wrestling.
Training partner to older brother Nick Diaz, Nate has formed the infamous Scrap Pack with Gilbert Melendez, Jake Shields, Kron Gracie, and the rest of Cesar Gracie’s fight team. The team earned the ‘Scrap pack’ nickname after the infamous ELITE XC Brawl shown on live cable television following Jake Shields victory over Dan Henderson when rival Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller stepped into the cage
A veteran of 8 fights at lightweight, Nate Diaz moved back up to 170 lbs after a 2-2 stint in the division to face Conor Mcgregor, winning the fight in the 2nd round via RNC submission, and setting the UFC PPV profit records in the process. Making his professional debut at the age of 19 Nate Diaz has 12 wins by submission. With 22 professional fights inside the UFC Octagon, Nate Diaz is one of the more experienced fighters in the UFC. Infamous for the Stockton Slap which he shares as a striking technique with his older brother Nick Daiz, Conor earned the biggest payday of his life defeating Conor Mcgregor at UFC 196. It is rumored Nate Diaz took home over 2 million dollars with the victory.
