We head back to Mother Russia for the latest in a long line of crazy supermarket scraps that leads us to conclude that whatever security guards are getting paid over there, it isn’t enough!
The CCTV footage begins as two men enter the store, with the one wearing a blue jacket rudely brushing aside another customer so he can get to the front of the queue, while the other heads to a fridge to grab a fistful of beers.
Blue-jacket is clearly intoxicated, and becomes increasingly aggressive towards the woman behind the till, but she stands her ground and appears to be refusing to serve him.
At this point the gray-haired security guard who’s been standing nearby moves over to usher the drunk away, but his friend interrupts and tells him to be quiet, while at the same time the woman takes the bottles of beers and moves them behind the counter, out-of-reach of the two men.
She walks away for a moment, which leads to blue-jacket going behind the counter to grab the beers back.
The situation escalates quickly from this point as the security guard grabs the thug by the arm and tries to drag him away. In the ensuing struggle the drunk knocks over several of the bottles, but manages to grab one and smashes it across the jaw of the guard.
Luckily the guard has a sturdy chin and is able to withstand the blow, and the thugs’ friend then separates the two men. The temporary cease-fire came not a moment too soon, as just at that moment a woman wanders into the store with two young kids.
The drunk pays no attention to them as he barges his way back to the counter again and shouts at the woman behind the till again. He then goes over to the fridge, violently wrenches the door open and grabs more bottles of beer.
His partner in crime is still jostling with the security guard to keep him at bay, and at that moment blue-jacket turns and launches a punch at the guard, but ends up hitting his cohort instead by mistake.
Thankfully the kids are safely behind the counter at this stage as the brawl erupts again, with the security guard using a push-kick to momentarily keep the approaching thug away from him.
The drunk wings another off-target right hook at the guard, and the two of them scuffle just out of sight of the camera, while the customer who’d been brushed aside at the start of the video attempts to subdue the other troublemaker.
Seconds later the guard manages to shove the drunk to the floor and then throws him down again when he stands. At the same time the other innocent bystander manages to restrain the second thug from behind.
Another customer wearing a gray top and black body-warmer enters the store at this point, and after taking a few seconds to chaotic scene in front of him, he steps up to help the security guard who’s still struggling with the drunk.
It turns out this older customer can handle himself and he roughly shoves the thug to the floor and then lands a kick and few punches when he gets back upright.
The security guard then manages to roughly bundle the instigator out the door, while his cohort is also evicted in similar fashion, bringing an end to the carnage.
