There are many ways to begin a street fight and as my best friend’s dad growing up always told us, It’s never alright to get into a street fight but if you happen to find yourself in a situation that you cannot get out of or avoid…always throw the first punch. This is solid advice particularly witnessing from personal experience that the guy, or in some instances, the gal, that throws the first punch more often than not wins the fight.
This begs the question, what exactly should I do to initiate the altercation and give myself the best opportunity to succeed? This is a piece of information that is vital for the simple reason that in a street fight the simplest mistake could cause serious harm, injury or even death.
In the video below that question is answered from multiple different perspectives as there is really no perfect way to initiate the first point of contact. Not all confrontations start off in the same manner and therefore not all initiating movements are going to be the same. All are useful and all are effective but it is up to the person in the situation to decide which is most applicable.
As always, neither me nor www.mma.tv, advocate the use of violence in any form or fashion but what the video below provides is information that could be critical to the safety of yourself, your friends, or your loved ones. Please use the information provided below with caution and discretion and remember that the best way to handle any type of altercation is in a non-violent manner but in a circumstance where that is unavoidable, it is best to be prepared.
