The ever awesome Invicta FC 16 takes place Friday night, live on UFC Fight Pass. But before every fight, there is a weigh in, and this one was spectacular.

nvictaatomweight champion AyakaHamasaki fights Amber Brown in the main event, withJennifer Maia vs. Vanessa Porto for the vacant interim flyweight title in the main. However, Roxanne Modafferi and Angela Hill stole the weigh in show. Hill appeared as Dhalsim from Street Fighter while Modafferi and a whole team of fighters from Syndicate MMA appeared as character from Mortal Combat.

Irene Aldana and Herica Tiburcio came in heavy by a pound for their respective divisions, and started to rehydrate. However, their contracts allow for an extra pound beyond the one pound over the division limit normally given, so there will be no fine. The extra extra pound is a sensible idea, given that women fighters’ menstrual cycles can make the challenging process of weight cutting even more miserable, via the body retaining water.

Champ Ayaka Hamasaki (104.9) vs. Amber Brown (104.7) – for atomweight title

Jennifer Maia (124.6) vs. Vanessa Porto (124.4) – for vacant flyweight title

Stephanie Eggink (115) vs. Angela Hill (115)

Irene Aldana (136.6) vs. Jessamyn Duke (134.9)

DeAnna Bennett (124.5) vs. Roxanne Modafferi (125.1)

Jinh Yu Frey (105.5) vs. Herica Tiburcio (106.9)

Sarah D’Alelio (125.2) vs. Andrea Lee (125.3)
