XFC contract fight over Kalindra Faria

UFC 180 airs on FOX Sports and PPV, with Cain Velasquez vs. Fabricio Werdum, Joe Lauzon vs. Diego Sanchez, and Jake Ellenberger vs. Kelvin Gastelum. Bellator 131 airs on Spike, with Tito Ortiz vs. Stephan Bonnar, Michael Chandler vs. Will Brooks, and King Mo vs. Tom DeBlass. And World Series of Fighting 15 airs on NBC, and announced three title fights – David Branch vs. Yushin Okami, Justin Gaethje vs. Melvin Guillard, and Jessica Aguilar vs. Kalindra Faria.
However, XFC President Myron Molotky was taken aback when he heard about the final matchup, as he has an exclusive two-year contract with Faria. Molotky pointed to Faria’s manager Jorge “Macaco” Patino as the source of the issue, and not the WSoF.
Compounding the problem, Faria was scheduled to fight Julia Berezikova at an event moved from October 18 to November 1. However, Faria has been pulled from the card until the contract situation is resolved.

If it was handled properly in the beginning, we certainly don’t want to stop a fighter from making a living, but the unfortunate part was how it was handled, and it’s too far down the road for us to have a conversation like that.
She’s still a contracted fighter. We plan on getting her bouts. Right now we’re just working through the situation. As soon as we get the situation sorted out, we’ll start lining up fights again.
Macaco has not been heard from as yet, but his position will be reported as it comes available.
