After recently being cut by the UFC, noted mixed martial arts lightweight fighter Jacob Volkmann was been picked up by the newly formed World Series Of Fighting (WSOF). His debut fight for the upstart promotion is now set, as “Christmas” collides with Lyle Beerbohm on June 14, 2013, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Lightweight John Gunderson’s callout of Jacob Volkmann wasn’t successful, but he did get another UFC vet for his promotional debut.
Gunderson on Thursday told MMAjunkie.com that he is set to meet Dan Lauzon (16-4) at World Series of Fighting 3, which takes place June 14 in Las Vegas.
