UFC president Dana White and welterweight champion Tyron Woodley do not see eye to eye in all regards. Woodley believes the UFC promotes him insufficiently and cites potential racial causes. White says any lack of media focus on Woodley is due the fighter’s sometimes fan-unfriendly fighting style and sometimes fan-unfriendly persona on social media.

However, the pair have united over rapper and songwriter Kendrick Lamar. Woodley is a massive fan and reached out to White about possibly arranging a meeting.

White, it turns out, was bringing Lamar in for his son’s 16th birthday party and invited Woodley and Woodley’s son.

“It was a larger than life experience,” said Woodley. “Kendrick Lamar to me, I think of him the same way I think of Muhammad Ali. … I was honored to be invited. So I guess me and Dana are going to be good for at least a couple weeks.”

Dana Jr also got a brand new white BMW.
