UFC 200 is the greatest card in the history of mixed martial arts. It is so stupeyingly great that Joe Lauzon vs. Diego Sanchez is on the UFC Fight Pass prelims. That fight is so insanely great, it could main event.
In a new profile from the UFC, Lauzon, 32, explains why he fights now.
“Since I was 16 years old, I’ve always had a fight coming up,” he said. “I’ve always been training. It’s always been the most important thing. Everything else took a back seat.
“And then Joey came around. He’s #1. Everything revolves around him now.”
Joe’s son was born with cancer – stage-four neuroblastoma. Joey was on chemo when he was seven days old. And Joey beat cancer, in the biggest win in the MMA space of the year.
Joey dad fights on, but with new motivations, so deep there are none deeper.
Joe is currently raising money for a Jimmy Fund walk, so please donate and or share!
