Why Bisping deserves to be in the UFC Hall of Fame
Michael Bisping: “That’s not something you campaign for. That’s embarrassing. It’s up to the UFC to recognize that.”

Former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping deserves to be in the UFC Hall of Fame for many reasons including these career highlights:
•TUF 3 Light Heavyweight winner;
•Won and defended UFC middleweight belt;
•Wins over G.O.A.T. candidates Anderson Silva and Dan Henderson;
•7-time performance bonus winner;
•Most fights in UFC history; and lest you think The Count was just showing up …
•Most wins in UFC history; and,
•Most significant strikes landed.
And then there’s the PED issue. The same way there is an asterisk next to Vitor Belfort’s name for his use of drugs, The Count has a gold star.
Bisping is the poster child for suffering from doping in MMA. The first two times ‘The Count’ was knocked were by Dan Henderson and Vitor Belfort, both of whom were on the now disgraced Testosterone Replacement Therapy. For the first decade of his career, Bisping went 24-5. But of the five losses, Henderson, Belfort, and Chael Sonnen were on TRT, and Wanderlei Silva was suspended for years after running from a PED test. Only Rashad Evans was clean, and that was a Split Decision.
And let’s add one more reason – Bisping’s modesty.
It’s not something I’ve necessarily thought about but it’s something a lot of people have said to me, said Bisping to Damon Martin for MMANytt. It’s not something I’m campaigning for or anything like that. That’s not something you campaign for. That’s embarrassing. It’s up to the UFC to recognize that. I’d like to think so, I’ve put the work in and I think I deserve it but that’s down to the UFC.
Do the right thing UFC – put The Count in the UFC Hall of Fame. And while you’re at it, Jens Pulver too.
