To date, the following legends have been inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame:
Mark Coleman
Randy Couture
Royce Gracie
Matt Hughes
Charles Lewis
Chuck Liddell
Dan Severn
Ken Shamrock
A number of names are frequently mentioned as being on the list for eventual induction, or should be:
Tank Abbott
Vitor Belfort
Mirko Cro Cop
Don Frye
Forrest Griffin
Dan Henderson
Rampage Jackson
Mark Kerr
Brock Lesnar
Chris Lytle
John McCarthy
Pat Miletich
Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira
Tito Ortiz
BJ Penn
Jens Pulver
Joe Rogan
Shogun Rua
Bas Rutten
Frank Shamrock
Sean Sherk
Anderson Silva
Wanderlei Silva
Georges St. Pierre
Evan Tanner
Dana White
Any short list of possible inductees inevitably generates four questions:
1. What names are missing?
2. What names do not deserve to be on the list?
3. What names deserve to be in the HoF, but never will?
4. Who is next?
The UFC started 18 years ago, and its Hall of Fame contains only eight members, so it is unlikely that every name on the list above will make it, but some things are likely.
Tito Ortiz is widely cited as having a lock on being an inductee, likely soon.
Least likely to be honored by the organization is perhaps Frank Shamrock, who has charged UFC President Dana White with poor stewardship of the sport, blaming him for example for the lack of MMA regulation in New York State. White in turn has labeled the former Middleweight champion an irrelevant, two faced, phony, nutball, liar, among other pointed terms.
The choice most likely to generate controversy is perhaps UFC President Dana White himself. Should DFW be in the UFC Hall of Fame?
