White: We will see about McGregor punishment after law deals with him

When a frustrated Paul Daley threw a late shot at Josh Koscheck, he was immediately released from his contract by UFC president Dana White. And Daley missed. When Conor McGregor flew 15 feebleminded friends across the Atlantic, and then attacked a bus en masse, throwing a hand truck through a window injuring two fighters to the point they couldn’t fight, the UFC did nothing. The difference, of course, is that the amount of revenue McGregor brings in is pivotal to the success of the company.

UFC president Dana White was recently asked by TMZ Sports about what punishment Notorious will face.

We’ll see, said White chuckling a little darkly. “We’ll see what happens.”

Well, he’s got to be punished by the law first. Let’s see what happens in New York.”

White was then asked when ‘Notorious’ would be back.

“He’s got to go through that first,” said the UFC boss.

Next, White was asked about a fight between McGregor and new champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. There are rumors the UFC wants to hold it in Russia.

“No,” replied White. No, because if you do a fight that big, you’ve got do it in Vegas. Khabib will fight in Russia at some point, but it won’t be that fight. It’s too big. You’ve got to do it in Vegas.

And finally, White was asked about sports diplomacy, whether the UFC might put on a show in North Korea. He said that South Korea was a big focus of the company, but North Korea not so much.
