The verbal sparring between UFC president Dana White and welterweight champion Tyron Woodley continues. Woodley told ESPN he felt like he was the worst-treated champion in league history, and cited race as a factor in a media profile he argues should be much higher.

Then White responded.

He’s a smart guy, he’s a good-looking kid, White said. He’s explosive. He’s got knockout power. But he’s a bit of a drama queen.”

Next, during a recent appearance on Ariel Helwani’s The MMA Hour, Woodley responded with humor.

How is Dana White gonna call me a drama queen? he quipped. He’s the biggest drama queen. I learned from the best.

Now during an appearance on ESPN’s SportsCenter, White was asked if Woodley was upset with the way he has been promoted leading up to UFC 209.

Who knows?” said White, as transcribed by MMA Fighting. “Listen, Tyron, that’s all great stuff. Great stuff. You fought to a draw in your last fight. Finish it. Finish the fight. [Thompson] was resilient. It was that type of a fight. It was a back-and-forth fight. It was an amazing fight. It was a draw. If that’s what you want people to focus on, is what a stud champion you are, then go in there and finish it on Saturday night and nobody will be questioning you whatsoever.

Tyron White rematched Stephen Thompson in the main event of UFC 209 on Saturday night. Their first fight ended in a Majority Draw, with the champion retaining his title.
