White to meet McGregor in Vegas, can see Khabib fight

Former UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor is the biggest thing in combat sports, but has been near silent since throwing a handtruck into a bus window and hurting several fighters, while amusing his intended target current lightweight champ Khabin Nurmagomedov. UFC president Dana White had planned to meet ‘Notorious’ while in Liverpool, England for UFC Fight Night 130, but that place and date have changed.
White was supposed to meet the Irishman in Liverpool, England, this past weekend as the UFC held its first-ever event in Merseyside. However, at the post-fight press conference, White said the meeting will now happen in Las Vegas.
“Conor and I are going to meet in Vegas,” said White, as transcribed by Abhinav Kini for IB Times. said at the UFC Liverpool Sunday. “… He and I haven’t seen each since New York. So we haven’t seen each other, we haven’t talked, nothing, so we need to get together soon.”
“[What happens next with him] depends on what goes on with him in New York in June. We can’t determine anything about what’s next for him until June is cleared up.”
McGregor will appear in Brooklyn, NY court on June 14; he currently faces three counts of assault and one count of criminal mischief. It is believed as a first-time offender that he will avoid jail time, and instead faces probation, a fine, and some form of community service. If so, that leaves a return to fighting open, and the leading candidate is Nurmagomedov.
