White responds to Mark Hunt ire over being pulled from fight
Dana White: “Listen, sometimes you gotta protect these guys from themselves and that’s what we’re looking into right now.”

UFC heavyweight Mark Hunt was pulled from a fight with Marcin Tybura at UFC Fight Night 121 over medical concerns. In a recent interview, the fighter said he was showing symptoms of CTE.
“You can hear me starting to stutter and slur my words,” he said. “My memory is not that good anymore.”
However, after being pulled from the fight a livid Hunt said that he had been misquoted, and charged colorfully that UFC president Dana White had it out for him personally.
However, in an interview with TMZ, White said it wasn’t personal, at all.
Listen, sometimes you gotta protect these guys from themselves and that’s what we’re looking into right now,” he said, as transcribed by MMA Fighting. “He made a statement that I’ve hated him forever, White said. I don’t hate Mark Hunt at all. I never hated Mark Hunt. He knows that. I was actually really good with Mark Hunt.
The UFC boss was asked in Hunt will offer an apology.
I don’t expect an apology at all, no, he said with a laugh.
