UFC president Dana White has a profound understanding of and respect for the role that regulation plays in mixed martial arts. Indeed, he cites it as a key factor in the growth of the UFC. However, he has a sometimes contentious relationship with the Nevada Athletic Commission.

For example, here is White’s tweet after Manny Pacquiao lost to Timothy Bradley in 2012.

Diaz, 32, will be eligible to fight again on Feb. 1, 2020. Barring successful legal action, his career is effectively over.
