White: Lots of fighters threaten to get physical, but we work it out

UFC president Dana White recently appeared on Colin Cowherd’s The Herd, and was asked if he had ever had a physical confrontation with a fighter.

White gave a wry laugh.

“Listen, I’m not trying to run around and get into physical confrontations with the guys,” he replied. “But, yah, I’ve had plenty of cases where the guys are like, ‘How bout I come over there and kick your ass?'”

White was begged for a specific example.

“I could give you a lot,” said White. “Phil Baroni. Phil Baroni and I had a really good one. Josh Kocheck and I had a really good one a couple weeks ago … It’s just that when you’re the boss of 600 ultimate fighters … you know?”

“Guys have threatened to get physical many times, but, you know, we work it out.”
